Santos, Rockfort in Super League feature

THIRD-PLACED Santos and fourth-placed Rockfort will meet in the feature match of the afternoon in today’s eighth round of matches in the Claro/ KSAFA Super League at Bell/Chung Oval.

Meanwhile, leaders and defending champions Cavalier will be looking to stay abreast of the competition when they take on Barbican at Barbican field and should take maximum points from struggling Barbican. The defending champions have won six and drawn one of their seven games.

In other games, August Town entertain Mountain View at UWI Bowl; Rae Town take on Bull Bay at Breezy Castle; Real Mona go up against Duhaney Park at Buttercup Park; and UWI play Constant Spring at

UWI Bowl.

All matches start at 3:30 pm.

At Bell/Chung field, Santos and Rockfort — both tied on 13 points — will be hoping August Town stumble for a second straight week as that would give both teams a chance to move into second place with a win in today’s match.

However, August Town should be confident of returning to winning ways and keep second spot against a largely inconsistent Mountain View.

Newcomers UWI had a great start to their campaign, but have been losing ground in recent weeks. They go up against a Constant Spring side that should be more difficult than the Duhaney Park team they drew with last Saturday.

Duhaney Park and Real Mona will be vying to move away from the relegation zone with a win this afternoon as both teams are tied on four points, with Real Mona second from bottom and Duhaney Park third from last.

In the Major League competition, Olympic Gardens play Stony Hill at Bull Pen; Allman/Woodford take on Shortwood at Heroes Circle; Central Kingston host Cooreville at Winchester Park; Molynes are at home against

Brown’s Town; and Police entertain Seaview.

All games start at 3:30 pm.
