Gas prices jump $1.97 per litre
Ex-refinery petrol prices continue its upward move with octane 87 and 90 increasing $1.97 per litre and diesel up $1.76 cents per litre, effective yesterday.
This week’s increase of almost $2.00 per litre surpass the $1.16 per litre of three weeks ago when prices at the pump reached over$100 per litre at some service stations.
Two weeks ago Petrojam dropped the prices on both 87 and 90 gasoline by 98 cents per litre with diesel fuel coming down $1.16 per litre, but increased thier prices last week.
Petrojam, the island’s sole oil refinery, publishes ex-refinery petrol movement on Wednesday of each week.
