The beauty of life
Dear Editor,
There is beauty of life. It has to do with the recognition of worth. I say this as I pay respect to Mr Gordon “Butch” Stewart, the rest of the Observer family and others who made it possible for John Maxwell to have returned to Jamaica to spend his last days in the land he loved. This was indeed an act of the recognition of worth.
Too often many reapers of this canefield, some of whom have been persons of worth, have gone neglected. In the sunshine of his life John made great contributions to Jamaica. In his sunset journey when he looked around, there were the few, including Mr Gordon “Butch” Stewart. I must also applaud the Observer which is compiling an issue of tributes to John. This is also a monumental gesture.
Nuff respec’, Butch Stewart.
