Simulcast racing for Caymanas Park today
Simulcast racing can be watched live for the first time on a Sunday at Caymanas Park today with races being beamed from Philadelphia Park, Turfway Park, Turfway Paradise and Mountaineer Park.
Philadelphia Park will open the programme at at 12:25 pm with the Caymanas Park gates being opened at 11:30 am.
The racing innovative and historic step to provide wholesome live simulcast Sunday entertainment to thousands of race fans is expected to treat the entire family to some garish finishes among top riders on the North American racetracks.
During the running of these races, some of the viewers’ favouritie jockeys will be in action and can include
Fabia Arguero Jnr, Ben Creed, Leandro Goncalves, Miguel Mina, Jamaican Rajiv Maragh and female jockeys Liz Lumberg and Cynthis Medina
With the races coming from different racetracks that could include quarter horse racing, excitement and entertainment value could be this heightened as punters can watch and wager. The second event will come from Turfway Park at 1:10 pm; Turf Paradise at 2:30 pm and Mountianeer Park set for a post time of 7:00 pm .
According to Chris Armond, acting CEO and director of marketing at Caymanas Track Limited, simulcast racing accounts for some 40 per cent of the company’s revenues and the innovative measure of Sunday simulcast racing was introduced to try and inprove the revenues of the the CTL.
Following an assessment of the initial thrust, Armond thinks the company will be in a strategic position to determine whether or not Sunday racing could be offered profitably on selected Sundays at Caymanas Park.
