FOR the past decade, Jamaican-born New York resident Clive ‘Kali’ Drummond and his business partners Esroy Bernard, Dale Getfeld and Derrick ‘Tax Man’ Shippy have been making the trek home each January to attend the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.

For the past three years, they have toyed with the idea of hosting a beach party in MoBay. After mulling over the idea again last summer, the team put their plan in action. So, on Saturday, January 29, their dream will be realised when they host the inaugural Fantasy, the ultimate Jazz fest all-white beach party, at the Tropical Beach located behind the Sangster International Airport in MoBay. The team arrived in Jamaica last Saturday and has been hard at work executing plans for the party.

“In terms of value for entertainment, we plan to raise the bar with the Fantasy Beach Party,” an upbeat Drummond said.

The plan is to create a one-of-a-kind party experience that will rival the best beach party that has ever been held in MoBay or Negril,” he said.

To keep the tempo up all day, his team has secured one of NY’s best selectors – DJ Richie Poo, who will spin vintage, dancehall and lovers rock reggae songs all day alongside ZJ Liquid of Zip FM and Pieces Disco.
