Jamaica House turns green with jazz
ONE of the yearly jazz concerts, Jazz on the Green, takes place on the lawns of Jamaica House tomorrow, featuring a host of prominent musicians. Since 2004, the Rotary Club of Spanish Town has been staging this event in aid of its community outreach projects.
An event not to be missed. The impressive line-up reads like a who’s who in the local jazz idiom: Desi Jones, the Green House Effect quartet, inclusive of Rupert Bent Jr, Jon Williams, Chris McDonald, and Dale Haslam. Included in the rest of the cast are Peter Asbourne along with his E-Park Band, Dean Fraser, Dwight Pinkney, Karen Smith, Keisha Patterson among others.
