Sir Elton John chooses Lady GaGa to be godmother to baby Zachary
She has been a strong campaigner for gay rights and is an active supporter of raising HIV and AIDS awareness, something that Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish took on board when deciding to choose Lady GaGa as the godmother to their baby son Zachary.
According to reports on Saturday, the eccentric singer is set to become one of the little boy’s godparents. Reported in the Mirror, Furnish, 48, hinted that he and Sir Elton, 63, had chosen 24-year-old GaGa as godmother because of her ardent campaigning. During an interview this week, Furnish was asked if GaGa — real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — was going to be godmother to Zachary. In a story on cbsnews.com, Furnish was being interviewed by Canadian magazine Macleans, and the reporter asked: “Correct me if I’m wrong, but Lady GaGa has been named Zachary’s godmother. What led you to choose her?’ Furnish replied: “We haven’t publicly confirmed that yet but your sources are very good! I prefer not to comment on it because we are going to make a statement about godparents later on.” But he praised GaGa for her campaign work and added: “She’s all about inclusiveness and tolerance. She believes you can be whoever you want to be, we don’t have to live in a world of conformity and we can all benefit from individuality. That’s the best message in the world — the freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love.” Sir Elton and Furnish have also asked their good friends magazine editor Ingrid Sischy and her lesbian partner Sandy Brant to be Zachary’s other moral guardians.

David Beckham reveals new chest tattoo of Jesus and angels
David Beckham posted the first pictures of his latest tattoo on Facebook recently. It’s no secret that David is a big fan of body art and Victoria has even joined him with a number of decorative pieces of her own in recent years, but the 35-year-old’s latest addition would look more at home on the ceiling of The Sistine Chapel than on a person’s chest. The tattoo is of Jesus being lifted by three cherubs, of whom David says symbolises himself and his three sons Brooklyn, 11; Romeo; eight, and Cruz, six. David also posted a video on Facebook explaining why he had the tattoo and what it represents.
“It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys, and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture. It means a lot.” The tattoo is the handiwork of one of LA’s biggest tattoo artists, Mark Mahoney, who has worked on a long list of famous people including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Jennifer Hudson shows off adorable son David in LA
Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson is used to stealing the limelight, but her young son David upstaged the incredibly svelte star on Friday. The ridiculously cute tot accompanied his famous mum to Essence magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood luncheon in LA and the youngster certainly looked like a star in the making. Dressed in a smart shirt and trousers with matching waistcoat and wayward curly hair, the little man clearly made mum Jennifer proud as he patiently posed for photographs, even waving to the gathered paparazzi at one stage. 29-year-old Jennifer’s incredible weight loss has been well documented, and the American Idol beauty is determined to show off her new svelte figure at every available opportunity. Pouring herself into a purple skin-tight Hervé Léger bandage dress, the singer and actress confirmed that she’s the perfect spokeswoman for slimming giants Weight Watchers.
The 29-year-old isolated herself in a South African prison set and even stayed away from 18-month-old David to shoot the traumatic scenes for an upcoming film in which she plays Winnie Mandela.
