Max Element releases mix tape Elementary
Fast rising dancehall artiste Max Element has released his mix tape titled Elementary. The 36-track disc was produced by Xray Records and mixed by Garrison Ink.
In a release to the media, Element explained his reasons for releasing the mix tape. “The mix tape is basically to give people a chance to know who I am as an artiste. It also showcases what I have to offer in terms of songwriting and vocal delivery,” Element explained.
The response to the mix tape has been encouraging to date. More than 5,000 copies have so far been distributed across the island.
Six of the tracks on the mix tape are skits. Said Element, “There is a skit called Baby Zion which is basically me portraying the character of a young boy who tries to impersonate Max Element. The reviews have been excellent so far and people hearing the mix tape realise that I am more of a deejay than a singjay.
One of the tracks that the streets have been loving is Mongrel Dawg, so that could be the next single that we promote.”
Max Element’s recent single Heartbreaker has been enjoying rotation on FM radio and strong video play on Suzie Q’s Video Alley top Ten, RETV, HYPE TV, Negril TV, Swag TV, MD TV and on CVM TV where it recently
topped the Hit List video countdown.
On YouTube, Heartbreaker has so far attracted more than 10,000 views in less than six weeks of its release.
Born Clement Smith, Max Element is originally from the Zion area of Hannah Town in West Kingston.
Among his latest recordings are Mongrel Dawg and Wash, Cook and Clean.
