OWLS – A “Hoot Hoot” trend for kids this year
They’re on school bags and bedding, wall art and accessories, those cute little googly-eyed creatures are everywhere this year. Yup, OWLS are a hot trend for all things kids.
You can get the look yourself if you find inspiration and can build on a found piece like bedding or fabric, for example, and just take it further by creating other accents to complement your piece, like pillows, wall art, puzzles, puppets etc etc.
To really capture the spirit of the owl, you HAVE to get the eyes big and round and taking up almost half of the face, as well as the pointy ears. The body is easy because it’s shapeless — a simple oval, with a semicircle cut from the top to shape the points of the ears, and you’ve got it.
