Wotless, Illegal rule Bacchanal Fridays
THE Bacchanal bar kept rising, as the soca enthusiasts welcomed the third week of Bacchanal Fridays at Mas Camp.
Coopershot Disco’s DJ Billy and DJ Sanjay alongside Sparkles Production had the crowd in a frenzy as they skilfully blended carnival and dancehall hits while introducing new 2011 soca songs. Hits like Machael Montano Illegal and Kes’ Wotless ruled the night and of course, Bacchanal Fridays would not be complete without Palancing.
The super sexy Appleton and Matterhorn promotional ladies did not only work as attendants for the night but took the opportunity to show off their latest dance moves atop the bar, much to the delight of the males present.
Once again, telecommunication giant Digicel was in a giving mood as they not only gave away call credit and other prizes via the cash vault to several lucky persons, but customers also got their credit doubled whenever they made purchases from the Digicel representatives inside the venue.
And what would a soca party be without drinks? Appleton and Smirnoff served it up for the soca crowd with ‘wicked’ drink mixes, and for those persons not into alcoholic beverages, they were not left out as Pure Country served up refreshing samples of their fruit juices.
When the Observer team made their exit early Saturday morning, Jamaicans and non- Jamaicans alike partied together in what could be described as another successful and entertaining Bacchanal Friday.
Aside from Bacchanal Fridays and Socacise, the 2011 Once upon a Dynasty Bacchanal series will continue with Beach J’Ouvert on April 23, Soca at the Sandbar April 27, Bacchanal J’Ouvert on April 29 and the biggest of all, the road march on May 1.
The sponsors of this year’s Bacchanal season include the Jamaica Observer, RJR Communications Group, Digicel, Pure Country, Appleton Rum, Smirnoff, Acropolis Gaming, King Alarm, Fruit Jazz, Supreme Ventures, Securipro and Genesis.
