Bacchanal’s 2nd band night, a sure win!
LAST Friday, soca lovers enjoyed another exciting week at Mas Camp. Despite the other soca events being held around Kingston and St Andrew, the committed bacchanal fans were out and ready to jump and wave to the music of DJ Titan from Trinidad, and the band for the night — Imij and Company.
Many patrons in the crowd gathered to the stage before the band came on so they could not only get a good view, but also to mark their ‘palancing territory’.
In their usual energetic fashion, Imij and Company hit the stage singing some of their hits as well as popular hits from other soca veterans.
This, of course, drove the crowd wild, as they danced, gyrated and of course palanced with the band. During their performance, Ghetto Flex took time out to make a tribute to Mark ‘Buju Banton’ Myrie, and this had the crowd singing and rocking until the Imij dancers hit the stage and decided it was time to start fêting.
After their performance, each member of the band was sure to tell TEENage how much they enjoy coming to Jamaica as the socaphiles always have one hundred per cent energy and appreciate their music.
The band went on to say that they are also excited about the season, as that they have new videos which they recently filmed, and look forward to the feedback from their fans.
Of course the party didn’t stop there, as DJ Bambino took over the wheels of steel and had patrons palancing in a frenzy.
TEENage believes that last Friday was undoubtedly the best for the season so far and is all geared up for what the rest of the season holds.
