Jackson Town, Holland clash in Trelawny Major League
DAVIS PEN, Trelawny — Jackson Town could take over second place in the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League today if they can beat Holland United in a first-round game at Davis Pen, starting at 3:30 pm.
Jackson Town are in fourth position on 13 points and a win today would take them past second-placed Granville on goal difference.
Jackson Town have won their last two games, including a 2-0 margin over Spicy Hill on Thursday and are unbeaten over their last five and will be going up against Holland who have won two of their last three and are a point behind Jackson Town, but are in sixth place on goal difference behind Invaders.
Preston United, who have dropped to eighth place, should win for the first time in four games when they take on last-placed and winless Classic at Blackwin playfield.
In the other game today, lowly-0placed Flames and Clarks Town will meet at Sea Road.
On Thursday, Romaine Roberts (60th minutes) and Eric Brissett (73rd minute) scored in the second half for Jackson Town to beat Spicy Hill.
Travis Hyatt scored for Flames in the second minute, while Orlando Grey equalised for Duanvale in the 38th for 1-1 result.
