Saturday Hustle – April 9
This week we’re taking you back in time with hits of the past two decades. Enjoy a selection of the biggest pop songs from around the world sung by the rising stars of the 90s.
Baby One More Time – Britney Spears
Spears’ catchy first single, in collaboration with her semi-raunchy, Catholic schoolgirl-inspired outfit in the video made the track a monster hit. And who can forget that there was once a time when it was on everyone’s lips?
Genie In A Bottle – Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera found fame with this melodic single in the late 90s, which, though it sounds innocent, is replete with innuendos.
Bye, Bye, Bye – ‘N Sync
Arguably the boy band’s biggest hit to date, ‘NSync’s Bye, Bye, Bye had everyone singing along. Of course, there were too, those awesome yet incredibly easy accompanying dance moves which made the track all the more fun.
Cup Of Life – Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin was in his heyday at the time when he delivered this intensely upbeat, feel-good track. Of course, we all enjoyed screaming: Do you really want it? Go! Go! Go! Alé! Alé! Alé!
No, No, No – Destiny’s Child
Though they had been around for a little while, this single, the remix in particular, which was produced by rap prodigy Wyclef Jean, catapulted Destiny’s Child to superstardom.
Right Here/Human Nature – SWV
The super-cute trio lent their cherubic voices to their first single, this hot pop track, in 1992. The song, which was later remixed with samples of Michael Jackson’s Human Nature, peaked at #1 on the R & B charts and #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
