Let’s Go Dancin’ in Jamaica, USA
The popular Let’s Go Dancin’ vintage party series is spreading its wings.
Come this Saturday April 23, heads east to the newly refurbished Wickie Wackie on the beach at Bull Bay.
Then next month party goers in and around the American tri-state area of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut will get their taste of the event when it heads up north for the Memorial weekend to New Jersey on Saturday May 28, 2011 at the Radisson Hotel.
Let’s Go Dancin’ will be making its international debut after one year on the Jamaican party calendar; and it’s an important double play for the fast-rising party series which made its debut last year at Ocean’s 11, Ocho Rios; where 6 parties were held over 2010 plus one in the town of Mandeville in December.
The Easter Saturday edition at Wickie Wackie will also be the very first time the party will be held in the Corporate Area.
The promoters note that both parties are all white affairs and report that the excitement is building as there will be prizes for best dressed couple in white.
Music for the April 23 Let’s Go Dancin’ at Wickie Wackie will be provided by Michael Barnett and Richie Clarke both from Kool 97FM, along with Wild Bunch Disco’s Gladdy Parker; and this is a well-experienced trio of selectors,
guaranteeing patrons a memorable night of top class dance music spanning the eras of the 60s into the early 90s.
The New Jersey all white edition will have selectors Michael Barnett from Kool 97FM, Jamaica alongside former Kool 97FM selector DJ Magic who now resides in New Jersey.
The US edition will also feature reggae balladeer Boris Gardener takes the stage for a special live performance. Gardener’s repertoire comprises all-time favourites including the worldwide hit I Wanna Wake Up With You, as well as Someone Loves You Honey, This Old House, Let’s keep It That Way More Than Words Can Say and It’s So Nice To Be With You.
