Stony fact
Dear Editor,
One of your respected columnists might have dashed his head against a stony fact when he referred to the JLP as “…a repentant capitalist organism”; and then commented:
“Ironically, it is to a socialist giant, China, that the JLP has now turned to for that great leap forward. What bittersweet irony!”
The truth is that it is China that has turned to capitalism; and has modified its socialism in order to achieve the economic success it now enjoys. China will become the world’s leading and fastest moving exponent of capitalism, because it is even now unhindered by the democracy that allows for freedom of the press and trade unions, advancement of civil liberties, the right to protest openly and the opportunity to change the government from one party to another.
