Lucea gallop in Hanover Major League
LUCEA, Hanover — Lucea FC scored back to back wins last week to move further ahead in the Captain’s Bakery and Grill Hanover Football Association’s Major League.
After beating Logwood United 3-0 on Thursday, Lucea returned Saturday to beat last-placed Haddington by the same margin at Watson Taylor Park in return-round action.
The win pushed Lucea to 21 points from six wins and three draws, three more than Jericho Rangers, who jumped three places to second after wins over Galaxy on Wednesday and Logwood on Saturday.
Galaxy edged Sandy Bay 1-0 at Logwood on Sunday to move into third place on 15 points as Sandy Bay dropped from second to fourth place in the standings.
Two games are set tomorrow, Sandy Bay and Superstars will meet at Kenilworth, while Haddington and Logwood will meet at Cacoon.
