Serena Williams removes half-naked avatar picture amid online outcry

Serena Williams has certainly given people something to tweet about. The tennis star was forced to remove a half-naked picture of herself hours after she used it as her avatar on Twitter, amid online outcry. The 29-year-old initially put the saucy snap of her posing in high heels and wearing matching lingerie up on Thursday last. While the sportswoman’s silhouette was concealed by the veil of a sheer curtain, criticism quickly followed, with many deeming the posting irresponsible following a man being arrested for stalking her, after following her every move on the social networking site. “It’s a sexy photo, she looks great and it’s not pornographic. To be honest, I would actually find it to be somewhat artistic if it weren’t for the serious business of stalking women,” Greg Couch of The Sporting News wrote. “What was her message anyway? What was she trying to say? Just this: Look at me. Instead, what she was saying was this: Peep at me, but don’t stalk me. Huh? Someone must have gotten to her and suggested something about common sense and hypocrisy.” Patenema Ouedraogo was accused of stalking Serena and was arrested outside of her home in Florida in the early morning hours of May 3. The 40-year-old was caught on the grounds of Williams’ Palm Beach Gardens estate. Local police say that he tried to walk into the subdivision but was stopped by security guards at her sprawling mansion. When he was asked for his driver’s licence, authorities found out that he had been named by Williams as a suspected stalker.

Kanye West shares a very steamy balcony kiss with mystery woman

From the parties to the lovely ladies, Kanye West is living it up in Cannes. The superstar rapper was snapped kissing a mystery blonde on the balcony of his hotel today and he seemed to be loving it. It is unclear if it was all just a stunt, for the assembled cameras, but 33-year-old Kanye seemed to enjoy the experience regardless. Wearing a black jacket, jeans and white shirt, Kanye wrapped his arms around the lovely lady and planted a big kiss on her lips. Kanye has had a busy few days at the 64th Cannes Film Festival. Last night he played more than an hour-long set at a Red Granite Pictures party in Cannes attended by Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper. He was joined on stage by actor-singer Jamie Foxx as they performed the hit song Gold Digger. “This is the biggest festival on the planet,” Foxx told reporters beforehand. The crowd was equally pleased and could not stop cheering as the two superstars performed.

Ciara and boyfriend Stoudemire go riding on his and hers mopeds

Ciara and boyfriend Amar’e Stoudemire took their relationship into the fast lane on Sunday last as they took to the streets of Miami on a pair of matching mopeds. The couple, who have been spotted soaking up the sun in recent days on the beach, looked the part in the casual clothes and shades as they zoomed around on the bumble-bee coloured bikes. Rumours that Ciara is dating NBA star Stoudemire, 28, were apparently confirmed when he joined the singer for a romantic break this week. The New York Knicks player was all eyes as the 25-year-old star sashayed around on Miami Beach, before taking a dip in the ocean. Ciara, who also works as a model, showed off her action girl side as she pulled on a life vest for a spell on a jet ski.
