Weise Road Basic School to benefit from celebrity match
THE 19th renewal of the Bring Back The Love celebrity football match takes place this afternoon at the Constant Spring football field, starting at 5:00 pm.
The event, which is the brainchild of Clive ‘Busy’ Campbell, started back in 1992 and has featured sporting personalities such as Brian Lara, Viv Richards, Curtly Ambrose, Anthony Corbett, Carl Brown, the late Barrington ‘Cobra’ Gaynor and a host of musicians.
Over the years, the proceeds from the match has aided charities and this year the Weise Road Basic School in Bull Bay will benefit.
This is the school of one of Gaynor’s daughters.
Today’s game will showcase the talent of Ambassador Courtney Walsh, Andrew Price, Andre Virtue, Allie McNab, Chris Martin, Lukie D, Richie Loop, TOK, Khago, Aidonia, Konshens, Admiral Bailey, Nesbeth, Wayne Marshall and Assassin.
