Gas additive to improve mileage, reduce emission
SYNTEK Global, a US-based company recently introduced to Jamaica the Xtreme Fuel Treatment (XFT), a comprehensive additive that promises improved mileage while reducing emission.
“It has emulsifier and detergent capabilities that modify the ignition temperature, makes the fuel burn longer and reduce emission by 35 per cent,” said Andre Hylton of Andre’s Auto Supplies, local distributor of the fuel treatment.
The local launch was held at the Guardsman Group office on Old Hope Road in Kingston.
According to Hylton, XFT has application in both industrial and consumer markets and can be used in either gasoline or diesel fuel.
“It has shown substantial improvements in fuel economy, emissions and pollution reductions, and increased engine longevity by users over long periods of time,” said Hylton.
He told Auto that a gallon of XFT effectively treats 10,000 gallons of fuel, diesel or gasoline.
While the additive is formulated to satisfy requirements of heavy-duty use, such as electricity power generation, and also sold to operators of large fleet, it is now packaged for the retail consumer, Hylton explained.
Syntek, on its website syntek global.com, says that the XFT was previously used only by large industrial fleets and was only sold in 55 gallon drums. “Now, for the first time ever, it is available to the general public,” says the site.
It added that XFT was time-tested for nearly two decades in industrial markets around the world.
Although in its infancy, the company is seeing tremendous growth through the release of our inaugural product, says Syntek’s website.
