My Digicel BlackBerry Torch
As generic as this may sound, I control my whole life from this device (both business and social). I’ve recently started jogging and my BlackBerry (via Adidas MiCoach app) is literally my running partner as it tracks times, inclines and other statistics. As a tech addict I enjoy keeping up with the latest technology and in this case a BlackBerry Torch.
Canon 5D/ Flip Video Camera
Not only am I the CEO of a television/ film production company but I also act as a director. I’ve always had a very hands-on approach to my work, involving at times literally shooting the camera myself. You never know what’s going to happen when, so I always have a camera with me, whether it’s a professional HDSLR Canon 5D or the quick and nifty Flip Video. The Canon also takes amazing stills.
Moleskin
I write down everything: ideas, quotes, contacts, to- do lists. I have had Moleskin reporter notebooks for the past three years. Next to my BlackBerry I would say that my notebook is my next most essential tool for organising myself. Generally one book lasts me about six months and I can easily look back at previous books and get details on just about anything. I go crazy if I have a meeting and for whatever reason I don’t have my Moleskin.
Sunblock
As a bald guy I have to ensure that I take care of my head/scalp. I don’t really have the option of covering up with hair, and hats aren’t exactly my look. Sunblock is essential, especially for the days where I work out on location (it’s also pretty painful if you get sunburnt on your head/scalp) .
iPad
I do nothing at all productive with my iPad. Actually no, I work very hard at beating my prior score on Angry Birds ensuring I have three stars on every level… almost there.
Car Keys
I drive a truck because of my field – I carry equipment and crew to all corners of Jamaica. My truck is the perfect balance of ruggedness and style. It’s also a pleasure to drive and it’s not so bad on mileage.
