Fogo have one foot in Senior League final
MONTEGO BAY, St James — The first finalist of the leg St James Football Association’s Claro Senior League will be known this afternoon after former champions Fogo United take a one-goal lead into this afternoon’s return semi-final game against Granville City at the UDC field starting at 3:00 pm.
Fogo United won last week’s first leg game 2-1 and will advance today as long as they can avoid a two-goal loss.
Last week Alme McFarlane scored in the 45th minute for Fogo United to cancel out Damion James’ 19th-minute lead for Granville City.
Duwaine Miller then scored the winner in the 78th minute as Fogo, who had topped the points tables after the first two rounds, grabbed the advantage going into today’s return leg.
Little Miami and Montego Bay Boys Club are locked at 0-0 after their first leg semi-final played on Thursday.
The winners will meet for the Claro Senior League trophy and promotion to the Western Confederation Super League next season.
