Kelly Rowland bares all

She has earned legions of new young fans thanks to her role as a judge on The X Factor. But now Kelly Rowland is aiming for a more adult fan base, posing in a sexy new shoot for Vibe magazine. The 30-year-old star is seen posing topless on the cover of the publication, maintaining her modesty by concealing her breasts with her hands. The shoot is the latest in a string of promotional pushes by Kelly to sell her latest album Here I Am, and its saucy first track Motivation. The song, which has spent seven weeks at the top of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts, displays a more forthright attitude towards sex, including the racy lines: And when we’re done, I don’t want to feel my legs. Kelly told Vibe: “I just wanted it to be skin, I’m so comfortable in my skin. As a woman, sometimes that takes so long to get to.” And Kelly told the Daily News at her album launch party: “I’m not trying to sell sex. I’m just completely being myself. I don’t let nobody dictate who I am. I did it that way for too long that I don’t care about those people no more. I really don’t.” This is Kelly’s first solo album since her split with former manager, Beyoncé’s father Matthew Knowles in 2009.

Is anyone in Hollywood NOT in this movie?

Garry Marshall’s 2010 romantic comedyValentine’s Day appeared to star every A-list name in Hollywood. But his new effort, New Year’s Eve, may just have topped it. Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zac Efron, Katherine Heigl, Halle Berry, Robert De Niro, Hector Elizondo, Julie Andrews and Michelle Pfeiffer are just a few of the big names who appear in the newly released trailer for the holiday film. Set in New York, the film follows the lives of several couples and singles in New York, intertwined over the course of the biggest party night of the year. Glee actress Lea Michele stars as pessimistic Ashton Kutcher’s friend, trying to lure him out of his ‘New Year’s funk’ and have some fun. Zac Efron is convinced to help Michelle Pfeiffer fulfil a bucket list of life wishes before midnight when she bribes him with tickets she has to the hottest party in town. Katherine Heigl and Jon Bon Jovi play former lovers who broke up years ago and are reunited. Heigl gets to give the rocker not one, but two vicious slaps in the trailer. A couple on better terms are Jessica Biel and Saturday Night Live star Seth Meyers, whose characters are expecting a baby. Biel’s waters break on New Year’s Eve and they rush to the hospital in the hope of getting a New Year’s baby. The film also stars Abigail Breslin, Josh Duhamel, Sofia Vergara, Alyssa Milano, and Hilary Swank. Marshall, best known for Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride, managed to compile a huge list of names for the 2010 romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, with Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel and Hector Elizondo returning from that film.

Idol winner gets engaged

American Idol winner Lee DeWyze is engaged to his girlfriend Jonna Walsh. After a whirlwind eight-month romance, the 25-year-old singer got down on one knee at Disney World in Florida, proposing to the model/actress. The 2010 winner of the reality contest confirmed the happy news to People magazine. DeWyze went all out for the romantic July proposal, chartering a private yacht and pouring champagne for his 26-year-old ladylove. The singer waited until fireworks went off in the sky to make his move. “I’m excited,” DeWyze told the magazine. “Jonna is a Disney freak. They were playing love songs on the boat and I got down on my knee and asked her. I had a speech prepared but it all went out the window so I just asked her. She started crying and I said, ‘Is that a yes?'” The engagement comes after they have enjoyed a whirlwind romance since last October. “When you know, you know,” he said. “We both feel that way. We don’t need to be together 20 years before we figure it out.” Following his American Idol win last year, he received a recording contract and is now signed to 19 Recordings.
