Othneil Lawrence looking to shine at Dover
MINISTER of state in the Ministry of Transport and Works, Othneil Lawrence says he is looking forward to a good day of racing at the Independence of Speed meet this weekend in the IP 45 class.
“I am making every effort to be at Dover this weekend and to participate in the IP45 race, a enthusiastic Lawrence told Auto this week. “My car is ready, I am ready,” he said.
Lawrence shared that the last time out at Dover he faced technical difficulties with his car and had to give up a possible second place finish.
“Last time I was in second place and had some difficulties but we have overcome that. My car is designed for quarter mile racing and we have been changing the specs for circuit racing,” he said.
“I am 90 per cent there and will looking forward to it. The spectators can come out and see how the road should be run at Dover,” said a smiling Lawrence.
Lawrence is Member of Parliament for North West St Ann, where the Dover raceway is located.
