Wadadah take on C’Hall in St James U-20
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Unbeaten Wadadah FC and Catherine Hall will meet at the UDC field today at 4:00 pm as the St James Football Association’s Sandals Under-20 league continues with five games.
Both Wadadah and Catherine Hall are coming off wins on Friday to extended their perfect win records to three each and will seek to keep pace of leaders Paradise FC, who are on 12 points, and will play Survivors today.
Also today, Norwood will play Marl Road at Albion, starting at 2:00 pm, Boys Club and Juniors will play at the UDC field at 10:00 am while Tomorrow’s People and Upsetters will meet at 2:00 pm, also at UDC.
Wadadah are yet to concede a goal after blanking Upsetters, 3-0, on Friday while Catherine Hall were 3-1 winners over Survivors.
Okie Scarlette in the 10th minute and Donovan Hudson in the 26th gave Wadadah a 2-0 half-time lead, while Junnell McDonald added the third in the 52nd.
Hugh Watson and Shawn Wayne staked Catherine Hall to a 2-0 lead after 27 minutes before Jamar Sinclair pulled one back for Survivors in the 50th, but Oshane Miller restored Catherine Hall’s two goals margin in the 60th.
Also on Friday, Paradise made it four wins in a row after outscoring Norwood Strikers, 3-2, in a game that swung back and forth.
Patrick Senior scored the first of his two goals in the 13th minute, but Devon Dixon two minutes later and Ron Clarke on the 33rd gave Norwood a 2-1 lead at half-time.
Alwayne Barrett equalised for Paradise in the 52nd while Senior scored the winner in the 68th.
Owen Hacker scored four goals for Tomorrow’s People in their 5-0 win over Montego Bay Boys Club, netting in the 6th, 18th, 30th and 49th minutes, while Oshane Samuda got the other in the 58th.
Marl Road scored their first win after four starts, edging Juniors, 1-0, thanks to Jason Thompson’s 38th-minute goal.
