FNO Ocho Rios

Ocho Rios was abuzz with excitement on Tuesday in anticipation of September 8, 2011, when the Jamaica OBSERVER CELEBRATES FASHION’S NIGHT OUT (FNO). With the massive success of last year’s event in the resort town, the retailers are sharing why they are eagerly anticipating this year’s fashion fiesta. (Photos: Alesia Edwards)

Outlook: Last year FNO was wonderful. I didn’t know what to expect. I got a bar for the evening and the customers just kept coming. It is an absolutely wonderful thing that the Jamaica Observer has done.

Shop #24, Ocean Village Shopping Centre • Tel: 1-876-974-3937

GFK Bath and Lingerie: FNO last year was really good. It caused a lot of customers and potential customers to get familiar with the store. I am hoping to do better than last year in terms of an increase in sales. Consumers can look forward to exceptional service and discounts from this store.

Shop #14, Beecham’s Plaza • Tel: 1-876-974-4734 • E-mail: gfk@cwjamaica.com

Menco and Pretty Feet: I want FNO to be my Christmas in September. Last year was a memorable experience. I’m anticipating more customers and the discounts are a must.

Shop #70 Ocean Village, Shopping Centre • Tel: 1-876-974-5040

Chelsea’s Closet: The turnout this year should be better than that of last year. I can’t complain, as last year was good in terms of sales. I think FNO is a fabulous idea.

Shop #9 and #10, Beecham’s Plaza • Tel: 1-876-390-9356/1-876-447-0717

Real Dazzling Jewellers: Consumers can expect heavy discounts on selected items. FNO is a really good idea that brings people together, like Christmas. Everyone should come out and expect to have a good time.

Shop #50, Ocean Village Plaza • Tel: 1-876-974-8023

Joseph’s: We are going to have a fashion police walking around the store rewarding consumers with fashion tickets, which they will be able to use for purchasing items in the store at a later date. All you have to do to qualify is, come out for FNO in your most outrageous outfits, hairstyles etc. We will be having discounts, plus new stock will be arriving in all locations. We want people to come out, be fashionable, have a good time and be prepared to save money. Music and refreshments will also be provided to enhance the shopping experience.

29 Main Street, Ocean Village Shopping Centre • Tel: 1-876-974-9016 • Email: lisabroderick1@gmail.com

Gold Mart: FNO is great for retailers because it allows consumers to do a lot of shopping despite the unfavourable economic circumstances. Last year was excellent as Ocho Rios was well supported. Our customers can expect heavy discounts on items in the store on September 8.

Shop #12A & #14, Ocean Village Plaza • Tel: 1-876-974-1180 • paulgoldmart@gmail.com

Western Sports: FNO is a fantastic idea. Last year the turnout was awesome. There was a definite increase in sales and so this year we are looking forward to an even better year.

Shop #62, Ocean Village Shopping Centre • Tel: 1-876-853-0127/1-876-905-2349

Classic Collections: I am expecting a very successful night on FNO and my customers will be very happy, especially since our store is offering up to 40 per cent discount.

Shop #11 and #12, Beecham’s Plaza • Tel: 1-876-877-7161/1-876-974-8625

LoMo Hats and Bags: This is my first time taking part in FNO, but I had to because I think it is such a good venture. I am not sure who came up with it but they had great vision. Consumers can look forward to heavy discounts on September 8.
