Beyoncé strips down for 1+1
She’s an artist who has always been well known for her striking music videos. And Beyoncé’s latest effort is no different. The 29-year-old singer strips down to a variety of revealing outfits for her song 1+1, at one point singing in leopard-skin lingerie and stockings. The video also shows the star in several dramatic scenes, including singing against a water-soaked screen, posing with glitter all over her skin and with the wind blowing through her hair. She strolls through the video wearing a series of revealing outfits including a sparkling see-through top. Various states of undress show off the singer’s slim and toned body to maximum effect, as she strikes a series of acrobatic-style poses. The singer described the song as her “favourite” on her latest album 4. However, the song is not a single, but will be one of many videos “which will be released to visually tell the story of 4,” according to her record label Columbia. The singer has been busy promoting the album internationally this summer. In June, she performed at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival, before performing at the T-In-The-Park festival in Scotland and the Oxygen Festival in Ireland.

‘I was keeping her relevant’
Lindsay Lohan is suing rapper Armando ‘Pitbull’ Pérez over the apparently disparaging lyrics about her in his song Give Me Everything. But the rapper has said he was surprised by the lawsuit, which he calls ironic, as he intended the lyrics as a positive reference to the troubled actress. Speaking in an interview published on his website PlanetPit.com, the 30-year-old says, “I was very surprised when I found out about the lawsuit. At first I read it and I thought, ‘This has got to be a joke.'” He explains: “When I say, ‘you got it locked up’ it means you run that area. In no way shape or form would I want to bring that on anyone. I didn’t look to defame, degrade or hurt someone’s career,” he says of the track, which features Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer. “For me mentioning it on the number one record in the world, I thought it would be helping someone’s career and keeping them relevant.” Indeed, to be mentioned in the lyrics to a hit record would usually be considered a mark that someone is firmly in the pop culture zeitgeist, so given that Lohan hasn’t made a hit film in over four years, one would expect her to take the reference as a compliment.
But the starlet and her lawyers do not agree. The lawsuit states that: “The lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.” The court papers describe the former party girl as “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.” Attorney Stephanie Ovadia is the legal brain behind the lawsuit, which seeks an injunction to stop all of the defendants from broadcasting the song. It also seeks unspecified damages.

I didn’t plan to get married, it just happened
Less than two weeks ago, Tara Reid stunned her fans when she announced she had married Zack Kehayov in Greece after a whirlwind courtship. Caught up in the romance of the stunning island, the couple decided to marry in an impromptu ceremony on the beach, on the same day as getting engaged. In an interview ahead of entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, she admitted she “just knew” soon after meeting Kehayov that he was her future husband. She tells new! Magazine: “We didn’t go on holiday to get married. But when he proposed, it felt right and we just thought, let’s do it now.” The couple originally met in Monaco a year ago, while Reid was dating Danish businessman Michael Lillelund. Reid and Lillelund parted ways in February and three months later, the actress got back in contact with Kehayov. She had already agreed to go on Celebrity Big Brother before deciding to get married, so had to postpone her honeymoon for the sake of the reality show, which started just five days after her nuptials on August 13.
