Gyptian not in custody
IVOR Ruddock, the manager of reggae singer Gyptian, is seeking to clarify that his artiste is not in custody, following a fracas and the subsequent killing of a man at a popular Corporate Area recording studio.
Ruddock added that Gyptian, whose real name is Windel Beneto Edwards, is not in the custody of the police nor has he been listed as a person of interest.
The manager was seeking to counter rumours which have been circulating that the 2010 Soul Train and MOBO Award winner had been taken into custody following an incident on Dumbarton Avenue on Monday.
The manager further stated that his artiste wants to assure fans that he abhors violence in any form and that he did not instigate the incident that resulted in the regrettable loss of life.
