Get out of shape

Hugh Jackman has revealed that his wife gets upset if he is in better shape than her. The 42-year-old often buffs up for movie roles but said that his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, 55, hates it when he outshines her. Just last week the X-Men star put his incredible form on show as he took to the surf at Bondi Beach in his native Australia. “Overall, Deb would say to me my job is to be out of shape so that she can look as good as possible,” he told Australia’s News.com.au. “So she’s always upset with me if I’m in really good shape. She’s like, ‘I think you’re forgetting the contract of marriage — ultimately everything is about me looking better, so enough with the training’.” And he said that she isn’t a huge fan of his muscles anyway. “Let me give you a little insight into my wife. I met her on a prison drama where I had tats all over my body and a mullet, and that turned her on,” he explained. “She likes the bad boys.” The couple have been married for 15 years and have two children together — Oscar, 11, and Ava, 6. The actor is currently promoting his new film Real Steal, an action sci-fi about robots, which have replaced humans in boxing.

Courtroom showdown

Camille and Kelsey Grammer came face-to-face last week for the first time since their acrimonious split in July last year. The pair, who were married for 13 years, faced off in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday morning over custody of their two children Mason, nine and Jude, seven. A smiling Kelsey arrived for the hearing hand in hand with new wife Kayte, according to US website TMZ. However, when the case was called, everyone other than Camille, Kelsey and their respective lawyers were asked to leave the room — including Kayte. She reportedly left the courtroom and sat on a bench outside seemingly teary-eyed. Both Camille and Kelsey have filed separate petitions in the case, both requesting different terms of custody. Camile wants sole physical custody of both children allowing for visitation with their father, who lives full time in New York. Kelsey meanwhile has requested that the couple’s son live with him and their daughter with Camille, with both parents getting visitation.

However, while the couple still battle over the final terms of the agreement, this hearing was for just six days of this week — which Kelsey had applied to take the kids during that time. Camille was attempting to stop her ex-husband from taking the children for the six days because he had refused to take the children to their scheduled activities during that period. According to TMZ, the judge ruled in Kelsey’s favour but stated that the children must be taken to all their activities. Grammer had an affair with Walsh during his marriage to Camille after leaving their LA family home to temporarily live in New York for a Broadway show. They went public with their romance in August last year, just a few weeks after he split from his third wife. The story embarrassingly got played out on Camille’s reality show The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. It soon emerged that former Virgin flight attendant Walsh was pregnant with his child, but she miscarried soon after.

Good friends

Their divorce was finalised in July but that obviously hasn’t stopped Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson from remaining friends. The former couple were spotted in each others company last week at a Radiohead concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. “Ryan and Scarlett came in together right before the show started and just watched, rocked out and left together,” a source told Us Weekly magazine. “They just seemed like good friends.” The couple announced the end of their two-year marriage in December 2010 and the divorce became final six months later. Since the split, both Ryan and Scarlett have been linked to other people. The Lost In Translation star appears to be in the thick of a new romance with actor Kieran Culkin. The pair were spotted enjoying a romantic stroll in Paris early last month, stopping for an intimate dinner at Pizza Rino on the picturesque Champs-Elysées. Ryan, 34, meanwhile, has been regularly seen enjoying the company of his Proposal co-star Sandra Bullock. The pair, who have been friends for over a decade, have been spending an increasing amount of time together since helping each other through their respective break-ups last year.
