Jahdore releases new single Nah Let Mi Go

Catch Di Riddim

SINGJAY Jahdore has released Nah Let Me Go as the follow-up single to his recent number one track This Love Is Over.

In commenting about the single, Jahdore said “The song is really talking about the new woman in my life and the kind of person that she is.” The song was produced by Courick Clark for Heartcour Production/Rountoun Music Production.

Jahdore has been on the up in recent months having gained a growing fan base both locally and overseas. He has also acquired the

services of a management team in the form of Deon Campbell of Rountoun Music Production.

Jahdore believes the success of This Love Is Over is just a taste of what is to come. “It feels great knowing that your first song reaches number one and it is even a greater feeling to see that it is number one on a Caribbean countdown. It motivates me to continue doing great music and this is a big step towards what I am aiming to achieve,” said Jahdore.

This Love Is Over is featured on the Ultimate Reggae/Dancehall 2011, the compilation by various artistes from Tads International.

Jahdore recently returned to the island from promotional appearances across the United States.

Additionally, he is featured in the latest issue of the USbased urban publication ACE Magazine.

Look out for Ricky Ticky

The artiste, whose real name is Ricardo Burford, developed a passion for music from an early age. He won a talent competition at the age of 10, which opened the path for his musical journey.

“At around age 10 I won a competition at Paradise in Pembroke that’s when my dreams started to become reality,” said Ricky.

He lists Capleton, Roundhead, and the late reggae icon Bob Marley among his musical influences.

Performance wise, Ricky Ticky has performed at Sting 2007 and the Stone Love anniversary party among others.

Rihanna hits Top 10 hot 100 single

Rihanna collects her twentieth Billboard Hot 100 single with We Found Love which bolts from 16 to nine. The track is the first single off her upcoming sixth studio album Talk that Talk which is due out in November.

CHART UPDATES

Veteran dance/pop and Latin music singer Gloria Estefan takes over the number one spot on the Billboard Dance Music Club Play chart this week with the track Wepa. It’s her sixth number one dance hit overall. Estefan fronted the Miami Sound Machine to the top of playlists worldwide in the 1980s. The group never earned a number one on the dance chart. This is Estefan’s first charting single in 5 years.

Another chart veteran who is back on the charts is 1980’s pop/dance siren Taylor Dayne. Best known for hits such as Love Will Lead You Back, I’ll Always Love You, Tell it to My Heart and With Every Beat of My Heart, Taylor last hit the chart in 2008 with the #1 dance hit Beautiful. Her current single Floor on Fire moves from 21 to 16.

California-based reggae artiste J Boog collects his first number one album on the Billboard Reggae album chart this week with Backyard Boogie. The album features collaborations with Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley, Morgan Heritage and American rapper Snoop Dogg.

Adele’s stirring piano driven ballad Someone Like You wrestles Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera out of the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Four weeks ago the song brought an end to Adele’s one week reign.

Over on the UK Singles chart, Loca People by Sak Noel is the chart’s new number one. James Morrison’s The Awakening is the number one album in the UK.
