Holland United lead charge for semi-final berths
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Defending champions Holland United will lead the charge for the semi-finals of the Trelawny Football Association’s Dr Patrick Harris Knockout today when they take on Spicy Hill at Davis Pen in one of two quarter-final games scheduled to be played.
After a walkover win against Exidos on Wednesday, Holland will see their first action today against Spicy Hill, who beat All-Stars 5-4 on penalties on Monday.
In the other game today at Bounty Hall, Harmony and Coopers Pen will face off for the right to advance to the top four.
Harmony knocked out Classic United 2-1, while Coopers Pen eliminated Invaders by the same scoreline.
Former champions Village United booked their spot in the quarter-finals after a 6-0 win over Rio Bueno on Thursday as Andreas Nickles and Teafore Bennett both scored two goals each.
Village will now face Duanvale on Tuesday for a place in the semis, while Salt Marsh and Granville will meet Sunday.
