Miss Venezuela crowned miss World 2011

THE 61st annual Miss World Beauty Pageant saw Miss Venezuela, Ivian Sarcos, walking away with the crown.

She triumphed over more than 100 other contestants who boasted their figures, talents, skills and plans for a better world to win Venezuela’s sixth world title.

Miss Venezuela will spend a year visiting and supporting a range of global charity projects supported by Miss World’s Beauty With A Purpose programme.

Adele recovering from throat surgery

PRIOR to cancelling tour dates and agreeing to sit out the rest of this year, 23-year-old Grammy winner, Adele has finally done the surgery needed for her constant laryngitis.

A spokesman for Massachusetts General Hospital says the British singer underwent vocal cord microsurgery to finally put an end to the throat bleeding she’d previously endured.

Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as she is expected to make a full recovery from the laser microsurgery.

50 Cent to star in TV show

IT was reported that superstar 50 Cent is set to star in the new season of US TV show The Finder.

It is said that the rapper will star as a hip-hop entrepreneur ‘Big Glade’, who is attempting to recover missing masters from a deceased rapper, whom recorded for his record label. His character recruits the help of Walter to retrieve the missing tracks before they are leaked.

Allegedly, the episode of The Finder featuring 50 Cent will air sometime during the new season, which will begin starting in January 2012.
