Shebada, Delcita for US shows
JAMAICA’S top roots play actors Shebada and Delcita are United States bound in their latest comedic productions. They are scheduled to perform over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Set to run in the Tri-State area — New York, New Jersey and Connecticut — patrons will be offered two plays for the price of one.
The all-star cast includes local favourites Bad Boy Trevor and Jookie Jam.
Double Dose featuring Shebada and Ova Mi Dead Body with Delcita will be playing at the Tilden High School in Brooklyn on Friday, November 25. A day later, Double Dose and The Plumber starring Delcita is scheduled for the Weaver High School in Hartford, Connecticut. And, on Sunday, November 27, Double Dose and The Plumber is on at the Evander Childs High School in Bronx, New York.
“This year was a very good year for our theatre productions,” said Garfield ‘Chin’ Bourne of Irish and Chin. Irish and Chin and JW Production are promoters of the event.
“Giving our patrons two shows for one price is our way of thanking them for their support,” he continued.
The promoters are of the belief that with the ‘2 for 1’ concept being so popular in Jamaica, there is no doubt it will be a hit in its US debut.
