Marble Nails
This week we’re tracking the hottest trend in nail design — marbling — a quick and easy way to get your favourite textured designs on your fingernails. The stylish and unusual designs of this popular trend can now be done in the comfort of your home, on your own time and at your own pace. Here’s how to get those fab designs for the festive season.
Things You Will Need:
* Nail polishes — Whatever creates your most desirable colour combination.
* Small plastic container — Container will get stained by the polish combinations after the process is completed.
* Water — Room temperature is recommended.
* Cuticle sticks — Opt for wooden cuticle sticks.
* Paper towel — In the event of a spill or other mess.
* Scotch tape — To prevent nail polish from messing up fingers.
Steps:
* Place tape around three sides of your nail to prevent messing up the skin with nail polish.
* Fill container with water and place a drop of the polish in the water so that it spreads on top of the water. Then add remaining drops to spread over each other.
* Use the cuticle stick to gently drag through the polish from the outside to the centre to create the desired design.
* Dip one taped fingernail into water and hold, allowing design to adhere to your nail.
* Use cuticle stick to remove the remaining polish at the top of the water and remove finger from mixture. Repeat the process on remaining fingers.
* Let dry and finish with topcoat.
