‘I’ve seen lots of people come and go’

People Post

She may be 65 years old and one of the music world’s best known performers, but that hasn’t stopped Cher from overreacting to a fan’s comments on her Twitter page. Thanks to the social networking site, the singer ended up at loggerheads with rap star Nicki Minaj after a fan instigated the clash. Nicki, 28, was accused by one of Cher’s supporters of ‘dissing’ the singer in a song from her album Pink Friday. A Cher fan alerted the singer to Minaj’s track Did It On ‘Em saying: “@cher did you know that b***h @NICKIMINAJ dissed you in her song DID IT ON EM.” To which Cher confidently replied: “I’ve seen lots of people come & go! No biggie!”

However, she soon felt the wrath of ‘Team Minaj’, with fans coming out in defence of the rap superstar and saying Cher should listen to the song before responding. In the song, Minaj raps: “If you could turn back time, Cher/You used to be here, now you’re gone, Nair.” It was explained that the lyrics were merely a rap metaphor and not a jab at Cher herself. Eventually, though, Cher admitted defeat and accepted she was in the wrong. She wrote: “U R right! Someone said I was dissed… I’ve been dissed b4, but instead of finding out… I just got defensive! I should know better! Dumb.” Her tweets were then deleted from her profile. In the midst of all this, Minaj only had one quick tweet to offer once she learned about what was going on. She simply wrote: “@Cher #stopit5.”

I’m so light-headed

She’s currently working her way through a mammoth 101-date world tour, so you can’t blame Rihanna for being a little tired. In fact, the singer has been so rundown recently that she threatened to cancel one of her shows. According to reports the 23-year-old ‘went into meltdown’ hours before her concert in Dublin over the weekend and she turned to fellow superstar Beyoncé for help. A story in The Sun newspaper claims Rihanna threatened to cancel her Dublin show and was only able to carry on after a tearful phone call to Beyoncé. The R’n’B star advised her younger counterpart to continue with the tour, but to take a year off when she’s finished to recuperate. After the show she tweeted: “I’m so light-headed!” A source apparently told the newspaper: “She’s just a young woman who just wants to have fun, but she was feeling pretty low. It’s a mix of exhaustion and stress. She’s been partying hard to take her mind off things, but there are days when she wakes up and doesn’t even know where she is because of the travelling. It’s no wonder she is feeling down.” The singer has 16 more dates to fulfil as part of her Loud tour, seven of which are in the UK.

‘She’s a fashion pariah’

With Hollywood at her feet, stylists should be falling over themselves to dress Kristen Stewart. But it seems the 21-year-old’s quirky, relaxed style has turned her into a sartorial outcast — with ‘very few’ wanting to work with her. Celebrity stylists have apparently rejected Twi-hards’ darling because she favours casual clothes — even describing her as a ‘fashion pariah.’ She famously changes out of her heels and into trainers to sign autographs, and unlike many other celebrities, is happy to leave the house in scruffy clothes and with no make-up on. A source told US magazine, Star: “She has grubby nails, ratty sneakers and bad attitude. Very few people want to work with her because she doesn’t want to look good.” Not that Kirsten appears to be suffering in the slightest. She frequently appears on best-dressed lists and has worn everyone from Chanel to Alexander McQueen. Top designers Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, Elie Saab, Herve Leger, Dolce Gabbana, Proenza Schouler and Roland Mouret have all recently dressed the actress. The star managed to get hold of a stunning Roberto Cavalli gown for the Breaking Dawn premiere in London. In LA she wore a J Mendell number that was split to the thigh.
