C-Sharp live at Jamaica College tonight
ON the heels of the launch of their sophomore album The Invitation and in celebration of their
10th anniversary, local band C-Sharp is expected to deliver a special performance at the Jamaica College Auditorium tonight.
According to manager Hugh Hoilett, the band will be pulling out all stops for the show, titled the Invitation Album Concert, which will also see performances by Busy Signal and veteran reggae band Third World which is featured in collaboration tracks on the album.
The show will also feature special guest appearances by friends of the band, including Tony Rebel, Tarrus Riley, Sherieta Lewis, Michael Sean-Harris, Abebe Payne, Raquel Jones and the Blueprint band.
“We have something spectacular lined up for our fans at the show,” said Hoilett. “This is the first official performance of some of the new tracks on the album and the band has gone to great lengths preparing an outstanding performance”.
Bass player Aeion Hoilett said, “We didn’t just want to put out the album; we wanted to prepare a performance that persons can come and enjoy the full essence of C-Sharp”.
Currently available only on iTunes the new album features 12 brand-new songs led by the title track The Invitation featuring Busy Signal, and a bonus track — the band’s hit single No More.
