Taking too much on?

He has admitted that X Factor USA didn’t do as well as he expected last year. But that hasn’t stopped Simon Cowell from launching yet another talent show. The 52-year-old mogul is teaming up with actress Jada Pinkett-Smith to create a new show that will search for the world’s greatest DJ. The project, which is currently untitled, will be co-produced by both Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Jada and husband Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment. The two companies are also partnering with Sony Pictures Television. Cowell, who appears to have very little experience in the DJ world, says that the turntable masters are the way of the future. “DJs are the new rock stars; it feels like the right time to make this show,” he said. But for those hoping to see Cowell on the judging panel, they are set to be bitterly disappointed, as the music mogul has confirmed he will not be taking part as a judge, “Excited to announce new DJ show. I will NOT be judging this show,” he tweeted on Wednesday. “Excited to be working with @jadapsmith. Stay tuned!” The programme joins a slew of reality shows which Cowell already has behind his belt. They include The X Factor in the US and the UK, as well as Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent. He was also a judge on American Idol, which he helped Simon Fuller get off the ground in 2002.

Cameron Diaz flaunts her growing baby bump

Everyone is wondering what exactly they can expect from What To Expect When You’re Expecting. And with newly released posters of the film, there is more of a sneak peak of what will be delivered. In a series of snaps, each of the film’s stars, except one, is shown modelling their respective baby bump. Posing holding their pregnant bellies, they are accompanied by hilarious quotes from the film. And while it is difficult to say who exactly looks the most glowing of mothers, Cameron Diaz may have just pipped her co-stars, including Sports Illustrated favourite Brooklyn Decker, by an inch. The Mask star looks radiant in one the film’s new posters, and also adds a dash of humour. An image of Cameron clutching her burgeoning bump is accompanied by a quote from her TV host character which reads, “If I knew I’d have a rack like this I’d have gotten knocked up years ago.” Devotees of the best-selling pregnancy guide book — a non-fictional work which has been adapted into a comedic film He’s Just Not That Into You — may be worried that the movie is just a cash-in on the name. However, for director Kirk Jones it was doubtlessly a labour of love. The posters are the latest in a fascinating series of drip-drip publicity releases in the run-up to the picture’s release on May 11.

Not picking up tips at home?

Is it just us or is Orlando Bloom getting wackier as he gets older? If his recent dress sense is anything to go by, then this is certainly the case. The Pirates of the Caribbean star was spotted in West Hollywood last week strutting his stuff in a pair of bright purple trousers. Orlando looked like he was having a mid-life crisis as he donned the bright pair of joggers along with some yellow and black trainers. But while the 35-year-old was clearly struggling to maintain his fashion sense, his wife Miranda Kerr oozed style as she was photographed on the same day wearing a trendy pair of leather pants. The 28-year-old ensured every inch of her looked stylish, even wearing a large leather bag with oversized sunglasses to add to the effect. But Miranda clearly needs to offer Orlando some style advice, as he doesn’t seem to be able to dress when she’s away from him. Orlando, who welcomed baby son Flynn with Kerr last year, appears to be opting for stranger outfit choices as he ages. While his top half looked smart with a black pullover, jacket and sunglasses, there was no missing the actor with his fluorescent bottoms as he walked around the city’s Detox Market. And we can only hope he shopped for some better clothing as he walked away with several bags. His new look comes just days after he was spotted walking around Los Angeles with a large red phone receiver round his neck as an accessory. Orlando matched his red T-shirt to the device, which can be plugged into a smart phone. But it stood out next to his otherwise normal attire of jeans, a black T-shirt and a black jacket.
