‘Classics’ for Manchester this Sunday
THE Jamaica Classic Car Club will make its way to the cools climes of the Manchester Golf Club in that parish on Sunday.
And, according to the club’s president Nigel McFarlane, the move is part of the thrust to keep the organisation’s members informed, build camaradrie and showcase their vintage vechicles.
“We’ll be meeting at the Manchester Golf Club at noon,” said McFarlane. “And, as car enthusiats the topic of discussion will definitely be cars. A lyme will follow.”
The president said the club tries to have a monthly meeting in different places as not to leave any section of the island out.
“In January, we were in Port Royal, Kingston, and Sunday we’ll head to Manchester,” he said.
The president said the central parish was selected as it has the largest population of classic car owners.
“We have a lot of cars there and usually have a great show when we go to Mandeville,” he said.
McFarlane said at the meeting, there will be a presentations on oils and fuels.
“But, it will great day out and, as members, we’ll get to meet people who share the same passion.”
