AFTER his 2007 hit, Man Of My Word, the artiste simply known as Sanjay, resurfaces ever so often, on the local music scene many times with the fun feel good music he is known for. The year 2012 is no different.

This time Sanjay has come back on the radar with a collaboration with legendary dancehall artiste Beenie Man, called Piece A Di Wine, which is blowing up on the local airwaves.

Piece A Di Wine isn’t Sanjay’s only collaboration being rotated, as he recently found out he also has song out with popular artiste Alaine called Wine Closer on the World Wide Riddim.

“That’s the funniest thing, I recorded my song for Arif Cooper’s Fresh Air Productions, but he asked Alaine to do the chorus. She kept it a surprise until the song came out and people started calling me from all over the Caribbean saying they love the song,” he said.

But Sanjay is more than just an artiste, he also hosts local entertainment show Intense, and produces the television series The Contender and Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall, claiming that he is keeping up with the way world is going, and doing what he needs to survive.

“Music is my passion, but I love television production. I was a singer before I was a TV personality.” he said.

As for Sanjay’s upcoming projects, he says next will probably be a single, but after that he has something special in the works.

“I would tell you, but I have to kill you,” he joked, then said excitedly “It’s looking like I’m going to do a song with Tanya Stephens, but it’s really just in the planning stage.”
