Three-way tie atop Trelawny Div One league
RIO BUENO, Trelawny — Coopers Pen FC and Classic United both scored 1-0 wins on Tuesday to join Fire FC at the top of the standings in the Trelawny Football Association’s Monymusk Overproof White Rum Division One league.
All three clubs are tied on six points after winning their first two games.
Donald Thompson scored in the 89th minute, almost on the stroke of full time to give Coopers Pen the edge over hosts Rio Bueno who were losing their second straight game.
At Bunkers Hill Omar Hemmings scored in the first half as Classic United handed Heatwave United their first loss of the season.
The third round of matches will be played on Monday and Tuesday next week.
