The Royal Trod
Prince Henry of Wales (populary known as Prince Harry) impressed not only with his late mother’s sensibilities and infectious charm — there were his ‘sprinting’ and dancing skills’ too — the lanky Prince has left tongues wagging about his footwear — the £115 Russell & Bromley suede soles — a more upmarket version of the popular Clarks shoes — for his less formal engagements during his visit, commemorating his grandmum’s Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee. The Desert-style boots come in three colours — tobacco, brown and blue suede — and Harry gets them all (SO2 is reliably informed) before they hit the market. The Prince’s choice of shoes has led to an unprecedented flurry of interest in the shoes, as makers Russell & Bromley has reported an overwhelming increase in orders for the as-yet available footwear. SO followed the Royal trod and shares highlights.
