The Beauty Buzz

Under the Dryer

March 24, 2012

Part 1

The word was definitely out last Friday as hundreds of women converged upon the Jamaica Pegasus hotel for The Beauty Buzz, executed by Beauty Concepts in partnership with Venus Embrace and Neutrogena. The hair and skincare event featured free make-up consultations, makeovers and skin analysis, in addition to presentations from Neutrogena, Venus Embrace, Revlon, and New York-based hairstylist O’Brien Lynch, who introduced the KeraCare Natural Textures line with live styling demonstrations.

The models’ hair were prepped previously at J’MAX Hair and Nail Club, with the finishing touches applied for the audience to see. Members of the audience also got a first-hand feel of the end results of using the KeraCare Natural Textures line. The demonstration ended with a question-and-answer exercise that allowed guests to request more information about their own haircare. Here’s how you can get a few of the styles featured at The Beauty Buzz.

Tips

* Use products that will give your hair a natural sheen.

* If you choose to go natural, commit to it. Find unique ways to style your hair.

* Use products with humidity block to prevent hair from heat damage.

* Messy, unkempt hair is seemingly on-trend this year.
