THOUSANDS of patrons came out last Friday for the last hurrah of the Bacchanal Fridays series, Final Féte!

The closing event, which started two hours later than its usually start time, at 10:00 pm, was not negatively affected by the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships held earlier in the evening at the National Stadium.

On the contrary, patrons were seen whining and jumping to the Soca expertise of DJ Billy and Coppershot’s DJ Sanjay, some still in their school colours!

Between their out of this world experience that encompassed an extra-terrestrial Lift Off-themed venue and promotions, and an amazing line-up of top soca acts: Kes the Band, Byron Lee’s Dragonaires, Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin, and Mr Vegas and Shurwayne Winchester, Bacchanal Jamaica did not disappoint this year.

With each passing year, Bacchanal Jamaica goes bigger and better, and if this year was any indication of what is to come, Carnival naysayers will be disappointed to know that there will be chippin’ till the proverbial sun comes up.
