Just five copies of the Range Rover Evoque Special Edition, a collaboration between British fashion designer Victoria Beckham and the Land Rover Design team, are headed for the US. The special model debuted last Sunday at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. Only 200 Evoque Special Editions will be built, making the model a collector’s item. No word yet on pricing. Not surprisingly, the Range Rover Evoque Special Edition features such touches as hand-finished matte exterior paint and 20-inch gloss-black forged-alloy wheels with rose-gold accents, along with rose-gold-plated interior accents. The rose-gold accents are a nod to a hot trend in fine jewellery. Tiffany & Co, in March, launched a new rose-tinged metal collection called Rubedo, which has a similar look to rose gold, which is gold with a pink tinge. The Evoque Special Edition also gets mohair floor mats, a custom luggage set and a hand-sewn leather portfolio for the owner’s manual signed by Beckham. The special model will go on sale first in China, with deliveries starting in October.
