Relegated teams Reno, Village in 1-1 draw
FROME, Westmoreland — Relegated teams Reno FC and Village United played out a symbolic 1-1 draw in their fourth round Red Stripe Premier League game at the Frome Sports Grounds on Sunday.
The result snapped a three-game winning run that home team Reno had over the Trelawny team this season after 1-0, 3-2 and 1-0 wins in the preceding rounds.
Village, however, had the last laugh as they finished ahead of Reno in the final standings.
Andres Nickles scored his first goal of the season to give Village the lead in the 13th minute, while Andrew Isaacs scored his third of the season to equalise in the 26th.
Meanwhile, the game at the Montego Bay Sports Complex between Montego Bay United and Sporting Central Academy was not played as the Clarendon club failed to show.
