Appleton take 5-0 lead into St Bess ML semis

Appleton Estates FC enter the second leg of the Wray & Nephew St Elizabeth Major League semis on Saturday with a 5-0 cushion over Newell FC at Black Rive at 3:00 pm.

Scoring for Appleton Estates last Sunday during the first leg encounter were Edroy Barrett in the 21st minute; Nickoy Smith in the 45th; Khesanio Hall in the 61st; Dwayne Plummer in the 77th, and Jamel Sinclair in the 89th.

On Sunday, May 13, at the same venue, Black River Youth Club meet last season’s beaten finalists Tafari Lions FC at 3:00 pm in their second-leg semi-final. Black River clipped Tafari Lion 1-0 in the first leg.

Kammar Walker scored the lone goal for Black River in the 87th minute of that game. The two-way final is set for May 20 and 27 at a venue and time to be announced.
