FIRST-TIMERS Global United and GC Foster Strikers ‘A’ will contest the final of the 2012 Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL)/Jamaica Netball association (JNA) Division ‘A’ League today at the National Arena, starting at 5:30 pm.

Meanwhile, in the Supreme Ventures Division ‘C’ League final, Waulgrovians ‘C’ will oppose Rivoli United ‘B’ scheduled to start at 4:00 pm.

In the Division ‘A’ League final which is a one hour encounter with 15 minutes for each quarter, GC Foster Strikers ‘A’, a former Super League team, reached the final by defeating Waulgrovians ‘B’ 45-40, while Global United outplayed Alpha 49-29 in their respective semi-finals played last Tuesday.

The Division ‘C’ League semi-finals that were also played last Tuesday, Waulgrovians ‘C’ beat Duhaney Park Strikers and Rivoli United ‘B’ got the better of Jobs Lane United ‘B’.

Expectations in today’s Division ‘A’ League final between the C Lloyd Walker-coached GC Foster Strikers ‘A’ and the Dalton Hinds-coached Global United promises to a keenly contested affair as both seek to lift the title.

Following the final of the Division ‘A’ League, presentation of trophies, medals, and cash awards will be made to teams and individuals, along with scholarships in both leagues for first, second and third places.
