The legendary Ken Boothe began recording in the early 1960s. He released In the Summertime in 1970. The single, which was written by Ray Dorset, appeared on his album Freedom Street.
Sun is Shining

Sun is shining, the weather is sweet/ Makes you want to move your dancing feet/ To the rescue, here I am/
Lee Perry originally produced the single in 1971 on their album Soul Revolution. It was later re-recorded in 1978 on the album Kaya. To this day, the song remains the ultimate ode to summer.
Summer Love

Denyque first started recording in 2009 and gained tremendous popularity with her breakthrough hit Can’t Breathe. The LIME brand ambassador released Summer Love in 2010, and was nominated for a Youth View Award for best new artist later that year.
Holiday

The summer is back, back/ Wi burning hot, hot/ it’s a holiday (yea, yea)/ sunny day (yea, yea, Yea)/
Dancer turned singer Ding Dong scored his first major hit with the single Holiday. This feel-good song with its infectious lyrics was released in 2009 by Notice Productions.
Summertime
Vybz Kartel
Pool party/ If a even the beach mi haffi reach/ A summertime
Produced in 2011, Kartel’s Summertime climbed local charts and remained at number one months after its release. The song was released on his EP Gaza Don later that year.
