Stone gets smokin’ hot makeover

People Post

She is better known for her comedic chops and girl-next-door appeal than her high fashion looks. But in next month’s Interview magazine, Emma Stone dons a Chanel gold collar, puffs on cigarettes, and shares her first heartbreak with Cameron Crowe, who’s set to direct her in Deep Tiki. In the grainy, video-like photos shot by Mikael Jansson, the 23-year-old funnywoman wears leather and gets in touch with her inner-bad girl as she mingles with sexy male models in a nightclub setting. With her hair in a severe updo, Emma’s enormous blue eyes look intense and cat-like as she slips into dresses by Christopher Kane and Yves Saint Laurent, and accessorises with Lacrasia gloves, Eddie Borgo earrings, Luby & Lemerald bracelet, and Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquiere booties. In two of the six images, the bubbly actress is seen glamourising cigarette smoking. Inside the mag, Stone talked to Crowe about her first heartbreak at the tender age of 14. “I was crawling on the floor. I remember throwing up, like, within the hour,” Emma recalled. “I remember being on the floor… I have never felt anything quite like that. It was so visceral. It’s like someone has killed you and you have to live through it and watch it happen… It was awful.” The Easy A star was linked to singer Teddy Geiger and actor Kieran Culkin before making things official with boyfriend and The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield.

Harvard Business School ‘graduate’ Tyra under fire

Tyra Banks famously graduated from Harvard Business School earlier this year. But today she came under fire from critics who have taken issue with the fact that the qualification is not a ‘proper’ degree. The supermodel, 38, has never suggested that she has anything other than a ‘diploma’ from Harvard. However, even the word ‘diploma’ might be a stretch, as Ms Banks actually earned a ‘Certificate of Completion’ for her nine-week course in the university’s Owner/President Management (OPM) non-degree extension programme. While these classes are offered through Harvard Business School’s extension school, the head of the programme has stated that it is ‘very different from a full-time MBA degree programme,’ which would take two years to complete. Nor do the classes come cheap. OPM ‘clients’ are required to complete three three-week units, at an ear-ringing $33,000 per unit. That’s nearing $100,000 for the privilege of attending classes on campus. The revelation regarding Ms Banks’s Harvard qualification was revealed in a biting report on Jezebel, criticising the model’s “habit of making misleading public statements about her studies.” It read: “She ought to just tell the truth.” The article goes on to say that “Tyra Banks is an accomplished businesswoman. There is no reason to embellish her achievements. A Harvard Business School graduate she is not.”

Halle Berry shows off her design skills

She’s been busy filming throughout the summer, but it appears Halle Berry still found the time to create a shoe collection. And as she stepped out to model her fall range in collaboration with German footwear company Deichmann, her enviably toned pins were also on show. Wearing a number of different outfits, including a thigh-skimming mini-skirt and tight leather trousers, to compliment her heel and wedged designs the 45-year-old X Men star looked happy and relaxed as she posed in front of the cameras. The Oscar-winner said: ‘I broke my foot in Spain right before the last shoot. And actually I did the ad shoot with a broken foot. “When I got back home my foot was still as broken as it was the day I broke it. I went into a hard cast and now I’m 100 per cent.” Berry created the 5th Avenue collection with the footwear firm’s designers and hopes that her latest line will be a hit with friends back in LA. She says, “I gave some of the shoes to some of my friends back in LA and one of the greatest compliments that came back was how comfortable the shoes really are. I think that’s for women today and how much we are on our feet and how much we walk.”

Deichmann owner Heinrich Deichmann added: “We are very pleased that Halle Berry is our new partner. She is an internationally renowned artist and a global style icon.” The company, which is Europe’s largest shoe retailer with more that 50 UK stores, has previously signed up Cindy Crawford, the Pussycat Dolls and the Sugababes to promote its shoes.
