Pepperpot: Gunning for the Commish

Believe it or not, the one who believes he is kingmaker or breaker is said to be behind any effort to get out the current commissioner of police, ridiculously claiming that he is not of the right political colour and is anti-police. That’s tragic because Mr Owen Ellington is easily one of the best commissioners the JCF has been fortunate to have.

Snapped!

People are asking how many other policemen are on the verge of snapping, similar to the cop who killed the pregnant woman in St Thomas. Cops are under pressure in this crime-infested place and psychological evaluation and monitoring are now a priority for the force.

Not buying out the bar?

MP Damion Crawford dared to declare he would not be the buy-out-the-bar type of politician and word on the streets is that he is paying for it. The shame of it is that many of his colleagues are not backing him on that principled stand!

At it again

Just when staff thought they had got a break, the controversial CEO is at it again. This time he is said to have taken away the parking spot reserved for one of his senior executives just to spite her. How childish.

Two bulls can’t reign

The two top dogs in the agency are not getting on and the question is how long before everything explodes into a big public quarrel. Not to mix metaphors, but remember the old saying: ‘Two bulls can’t reign in one pen’?

The royal lockdown

Now that they have locked the office for the royal organisation and there is no one for awards, word is that they have been busy calling schools to find students to give these awards. Is it a case of trying to improve the statistics and/or getting more private sector financial support? In the meantime, the former head continues to help people on his call-in programme. The sad thing is that the youths no longer have this international character-building programme to participate in.

Question of the week?

Who will bell the out-of-control cat at the state body?
