Obama’s victory will inspire others

Dear Editor,

One could conclude that President Obama’s second victory is a confirmation of his leadership and wasn’t a whim to put a black man in the White House.

I am sure there are people who believe that Obama’s first presidency was just a way of America apologising to black people for centuries of intolerance, but evidently his re-election is a confirmation of his competent leadership. Consequently, this second victory has solidified his position and will inevitably continue to open doors for other black people who desire to follow in his footsteps.

Evidently, Mitt Romney underestimated the will of the American people and their intolerance of the divisiveness that seems to permeate the Republican Party. Now the world can breathe a sigh of relief that Mitt Romney is not president and we can look forward to a bright and prosperous future.
